Leaving.

Well, my new school has been decided. It's both an exciting and anxious time for me. I'm really sad to be leaving Sumi-chu. I've grown really attached to the kids here- especially the first years. Some of the 2nd years aswell- but largely the first years.

I'll be going to a school off in the mountains closer to where I live. (Kinda). The kids of this school are bound to be more relaxed if not more complacent. Which isn't exactly a bad thing.

Good news is that I wont be spending as much money on crap in the city.
More good news (selfish i know) is that Ryan will be commuting a HORRIBLY long way, to my side of the mountain. He's been given a senior high school- which should prove incredibly challenging but possibly something he would like. The good part of it is that we can now do Mister donut right by his station !! whoo hoo ! (Which is close to my new dojo) Whoo hoo !
The bad news is that I will be spending more money to get INTO the city. :( Horrible stuff.

At least I shant be bugged by the travel guy- (23 cards at final count). Any suggestions with what to do with them ? Mail them back to him ? Ask him to recycle?

Here are some of the other locals on the enemies team. The guy in the centre is sporting a mini-me machine gun. Its a massively large rate of fire machine gun that the US troops carry. Have you seen Black Hawk down ? Crazy shit. Posted by Hello

This is Big Vic. Hes an ex co-worker of mine now (coincedentally enough) doing the same job I am - teaching Junior High.  Posted by Hello

BB Gunning- the insanity.

Okay, so as Thom pointed out this morning when he said : "You're WIERD! You're VERY VERY WIERD!".....
I am wierd.
I'm not entirely a freaky freak boy but i'm definitely crossed the great chasm that divides accepted passtimes and the fanboy/geek/nerd passtimes zone. D&D, Role-playing, LARPing, Wargaming, card-gaming, paintballing and now....
BB gun warfare...man this shit rocks.
I currently own 3 weapons. A G3 A1 "sniper model" rifle- semi or full auto, an Ingram A11 (mini), and a Desert Eagle. All goodness

(EDIT: As im typing this something interesting has come to light from an MSN chat buddy. A guy I met online 4 weeks ago (who plays this game)- hooked up with a previous encounter of mine on theweekend! It was an encounter that went REALLY bad on account of my ex-boss being a dickhead and me being stupid!! Anyways- a bit cryptic- but yeah- too much detail man. Crazy shit. )

Anywho !! back to the fun. This game was AWESOME. Equipment like you cannot imagine. Everyone was on either red or yellow team- and then you head out and f@ckin MILK each other with fully automatic BB weapons. Sheer insanity. The scariest thing is that EVERYONE is in camo- and it bloody well WORKS. Three times i was shot in the face- but the scariest thing is when you are hiding in the middle of nowhere and all of a sudden you here "PLICK" as the BB ricochets off your face O_o Three times I never even saw my killer. Just a BB outta nowhere. There were guys there with these HUGE sniper rifles and scopes to match the cost of their guns. Again- madness. But SO much fun. Enjoy the pics !

Japanese flu.

Its horrible. I was out of action for almost 6 days. It was truly, truly the worst flue ive ever had. My advice when you're living in Japan- go get a flu shot !!!!
I spent the weekend dying in my bed. Not fun. Although, M did come to take care of me- which made me happy and healthy :D
